Sword of the Hermitage of San Lázaro

Located in the surroundings of the Benavente Transportation Center, it is the only remaining part of an old hermitage called San Lázaro (also known as El Calvario). This building was an old sanatorium where shelter and assistance was provided to patients suffering from certain contagious diseases. There is information about it as early as the 15th century, when a pilgrimage known as La Magdalena was held in the area.
